Book Two: Wild Justice

Book Two: Wild Justice.
Hello everyone, here we all are for this week’s book, book two which means I have fifty books to go, just saying that I have fifty books to go sort of worries me, but I hope I will finish what I have started, this week’s book is Wild Justice by Al Turello is a mystery crime novel based in Australia, this is one of the first things that attracted me to this book, it is an excellent read and the writer Al is superb  and I will looking for any more books that he may of written. The book wild justice explores different nationalities and cultures in Australia, but I will take this moment to warn everyone that some very tender themes which were explored in this book, and as a result I would not recommend this novel to children or younger teenagers.
The books plot is a prominent Aboriginal lawyer Johnny Bora was murdered in his office, it is later found he was beaten to death with a club (wooden object) but it took two months for the police to discover it even through it was about 30 meters away from the place Johnny was murdered as the murder hid it in a display I have to admit I laughed at this part. Johnny’s best friend and crown prosecutor (his a lawyer in other words) Nick Milano is not sure that Johnny’s killer was acting alone and wishes to find out the truth, but what he finds is that Johnny was launching an investigation into a person who once purposely hit his friend with a car but got away with it because of ‘daddies money’ and because of this own private investigation Johnny got messed up in a secret organization and the mysterious McAngel an American has come to Australia and he is not sure if he is running or he is chasing the leader of the organization known as ‘Salzburg club.’
All in all I found the book to be an excellent read and would highly recommend it, and give the book 8/10.

Okay that is all from me today, like before I would like some comments or suggestions about this blog. The next book I might be reading will be the Bourne Identity, but I know very little expect that they made a movie about it, so I am looking forward to reading the book and perhaps hiring out the movie but the book is a tadd longer then I would like so I will just have to have a big of a think about it.
See you all next time J :D

Book one: The return of Merlin

Book one: The return of Merlin
Genre: Fantasy
Here we are my first finished book in my quest to complete 52 books by the end of the year (but a few days behind schedule I hate to admit,) I choose the book Merlins Return by Deepak Chorda I have never heard of this Author before, but that is fine I am always looking for amazing talent. So I started the book (which is for all interested over 400 pages) with much enthusiasm as a fan of the TV series and yes I realized that the book would have absolutely nothing to do with the series but I was still pretty excited as I will freely admit I have always been a fan of wizards and fantasy and I have a soft spot for stories like Merlin and Arthurs. The first maybe forty or so pagers were that good I was really excited for the rest of the book as enjoying it the plot was basically Merlin was an old man and had an apprentice named Melchior, and has not seen or at least been in contact with Arthur in five years, and since Camelot was on the verge of disaster Arthur sent a messenger to find Merlin, the cause of the disaster is Arthurs bastard son (which means his parents were not married when he was born) - demon son whose name is Mordred.
After this the story gets a little tricky as it goes to London and where present day Arthur who is a young police officer in England finds a dead body on the road who is Merlin but who isn’t Merlin it is actually Arthurs Uncle (but Arthur doesn’t know that yet) and Merlin goes into the body when needed to communicate. The story gets tricky as the dead body comes alive and escapes from the police the paper actually call it Merlin, but I believe I read that they said someone stole the body from the police. The Book also explores Merlins Apprentice Melchior who sleeps through 12 century’s and turns into a dragon fly, and finds an ally in a raven who warns impending danger from Arthur’s son. Melchior then proceeds to turn into a raven and then back into a human.
All in all the book was slightly  there were many characters and can get confusing with so much happening, but still a worthwhile read but only if you have an interest and you have the patients to re-read certain parts and read every single word and you are on it. As a final note I realised half way through this type of book wasn’t my thing, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be yours. Which is why I have given it a rating of 6/10.
Until next time :D

New year’s resolution resolutions reality or not?

Like many people when 2011 turned into 2012, I made a new year’s resolution my new year’s resolution was the same of when 2010 turned into 2011 but I did not achieve it but this year I gave it another got this year, after all as the saying goes if you don’t succeed try, try again. I will admit that my chosen New Year’s Eve goal is a less common new year’s resolution but one I do care about and will attempt to achieve.
Common new year’s resolution are goals like quitting smoking, losing weight and eating healthy but you see for me as an individual I don’t smoke I am happy with my weight and while I do enjoy the occasional burger chips and coke, but it is nothing to worry about.
My new year’s resolution is to read one book a week for the year. Or 52 books before we all welcome the new year which will be 2013. The issue which I am facing is last year I finished a grand total of maybe ten books. This is due to studying mainly studying lack of motivation and I sort of forgot about it around March and some of you may be rightfully wonder why will this year be any different, but I do love reading, and I do regularly read but I didn’t count books I have already previously read, magazines, newspapers, computer articles and text books. (But if I did count text books I would be nearing the hundreds I think.)
So I recently purchased a bunch of books from every poor students favourite place, the op shop and I am currently reading book number one (and yes I realise I am a few days behind but I only truly decided to do this a few days ago.) Now I must admit I am a little worried about copy right over here, am I allowed to name and say what book I am reading on this blog and take about, I am sure I can but I am hoping some wonderful person out there would put me straight.
The plan is for each week to name the book and write a review on each book this will help keep me on track.
Anyway thanks for reading my blog and I will be giving the review of book number one as soon as I do finish it (unless naming books it authors is a major no- no of course), and if anyone has some really great recommendations of books please let me know just hit the comment button. And as I do have access to a public library I should be able to track it down. Thanks again!
